Chinese and Korean New Year share similarities but also have distinct traditions. In China, Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, lasts up to 15 days, with customs like giving red envelopes, dragon dances, and enjoying foods such as dumplings and fish for prosperity. The focus is on family reunions and ancestor worship.

In Korea, Seollal, the Korean Lunar New Year, is celebrated for three days with rituals like charye (ancestor worship), wearing traditional hanbok, and playing yutnori (a board game). The special food is tteokguk, a rice cake soup symbolizing age.

Though both celebrate the lunar new year, these traditions highlight the unique cultures of each country.
